NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is an important resource found in all living cells. We use NAD every day for basic functions like eating, breathing, sleeping, and drinking. But our NAD levels decline as we age. Tru Niagen™ increases NAD levels to support your cellular health, every time you take it. After over 100 years of studying this molecule, researchers are publishing more articles about NAD than ever before.

  • Each capsule contains 300 mg of Niagen™ (nicotinamide riboside chloride) providing 263 mg of nicotinamide riboside (NR)
  • Take one to three capsule once daily with or without food
  • No animal byproducts, no artificial colors or flavors
  • Now available in convenient 30-day and 90-day bottles

What Is Tru Niagen™?

One capsule of Tru Niagen™ contains 300 mg of Niagen™ (providing 263 mg of nicotinamide riboside), a patented form of vitamin B3. Our inactive ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose and hypromellose. Microcrystalline cellulose is a plant-derived fiber and hypromellose is a common ingredient used to make vegetarian capsules. Tru Niagen™ is formulated without nuts or gluten. It contains no animal byproducts, and no artificial colors or flavors.

What’s The Recommended Serving Size?

While one capsule of Tru Niagen™ is our recommended serving size, it has been confirmed to effectively increase NAD at serving sizes up to 900mg per day (providing 789 mg of nicotinamide riboside). Tru Niagen™ is recommended to be taken at the same time every day. You can take it once daily in the morning or at night, with or without food.

What Should I Be Expecting?

Your experience with Tru Niagen™ may vary depending on your individual cellular needs. That’s because our bodies use NAD every day for basic functions like eating, breathing, sleeping, and drinking. No matter which benefits you experience, however, the science shows that Tru Niagen™ is hard at work on a cellular level. For best results, we recommend taking one capsule of Tru Niagen™ with a full glass of water once daily.

Can I Take Tru Niagen™ With Multivitamins?

Yes, it is okay to take Tru Niagen™ while taking a standard multivitamin that provides the daily recommended amounts of vitamins, including those with vitamin B3. Tru Niagen™ contains nicotinamide riboside, which is not the same as the vitamin B3 sources found in multivitamin products. Nicotinamide riboside is absorbed by cells and efficiently converted to NAD using a unique pathway different from vitamin B3 (niacin, nicotinamide) found in vitamin supplements. Nicotinamide riboside has been studied in clinical trials and proven effective for increasing NAD.*

Multivitamins are designed to provide the daily recommended values for essential vitamins and minerals and are appropriately balanced so they don’t contain high doses of any one vitamin or mineral. Before taking this product always check the label and consult your healthcare professional with any questions.

How Does Tru Niagen™ Work?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. But as we age, NAD levels decline. In 2004, Charles Brenner, PhD, discovered a unique and overlooked form of vitamin B3 (nicotinamide riboside) that is a natural precursor to NAD. Meaning it helps our cells increase NAD and thereby supports cellular health.

Our key ingredient, Niagen™, is the patented name for nicotinamide riboside, and is shown to increase NAD levels in blood for the maintenance of good health.

How Much Research Has Been Done On Tru Niagen™?

Our key ingredient has multiple human clinical trials demonstrating it is an effective means of increasing NAD. This research is founded on more than a decade of studies on nicotinamide riboside, a naturally occurring form of vitamin B3, and over a century’s worth of research on NAD itself.

In 2016, a groundbreaking study was the first to show our patented form of NR (Niagen™) increases NAD levels in humans. These positive results inspired research around the world. There are more than 20 additional clinical trials completed or underway exploring the potential health benefits of Niagen™, the key ingredient in Tru Niagen™.

What’s The Difference Between Niagen™ And Tru Niagen™?

Niagen™ is the patented form of a nature-identical vitamin B3 known as nicotinamide riboside.

Tru Niagen™ is the name of our product. Each capsule of Tru Niagen™ contains 300mg of Niagen™ (providing 263 mg of nicotinamide riboside).

What Is NAD?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It’s essential to every cell but especially to those with mitochondria. That’s because the mitochondria are “the powerhouse of the cell.” Meaning that like any other battery or energy resource, the mitochondria depend on an external power source to support energy metabolism. NAD is one of those sources, as it supports many biological functions including cellular energy production.

How Much NAD Do I Need To Remain Healthy?

“NAD precursors” are what your cells use to make more NAD. Not getting enough of these precursors can lead to a vitamin deficiency disease called Pellagra, but most balanced diets provide sufficient levels of precursors to avoid this disease.

In recent years, scientists have learned more about NAD and the factors that influence NAD levels. For example, we now know that increasing NAD can mean good things for cellular health. It can support cellular maintenance and biological functions.

How Does Tru Niagen™ Compare To The Other Vitamin B3s?

The B3 vitamins have one thing in common: they are all building blocks cells can use to make NAD. Nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, and nicotinamide riboside can all be turned into NAD, but cells use different recipes that require different numbers of steps to make NAD out of each B3. Some B3s also come with some unwelcome side effects: nicotinic acid can cause an uncomfortable flushing response.
